Trip to Nantucket
Mamma and I had an amazing time on our trip to Nantucket. Natasha let us crash at her amazing pad with her family. We had a chance to hang out by the pool, hit downtown and just spin around checking out all that Nantucket has to offer. I had my first taste of Nantucket's famous "Turkey Terrific " sandwich with fresh cranberry, stuffing and roast turkey on some tasty freshly baked bread. Just, Yummy!
We hope to spend a month next year in Nantucket during the summer so Dadda can join us and have a great time as one big happy family.
Hope you are all doing well. The summer has been one big barrel of fun and will be sad to see it end. The grand finale for the summer will be a trip to Jess & Chris's place in Cary, NC and then Labor Day visit to the Wittwer's in Charlton, VA.
Enjoy the photos and piece out!

Dinner at Dering Harbor Inn (OnShore) on Shelter Island
I had a wonderful time having a Saturday night dinner at Dering Harbor with Mamma, Dadda, Mumu and Aunt Linsey and Uncle Larry. The food was amazing as usual.
I am just having a fantastic time at dinner with everyone. Especially after the grilled gnocchi followed by chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. I have a bit of energy to burn off.

A run on Ram Island with Dadda
Dadda and I had a nice run out to Ram Island to check out the landscape and wildlife. On the trip we watched a Mommy hawk feed her two chicks in a tree top nest. We walked along a pier by the harbor and ran thru wild flowers. Of course on the leg back, I got a little sleepy and fell asleep in the jogging stroller. Mamma was there to when we got home to give me a baba and put me to sleep.
We have been having a great time and look forward to updating everyone with more news.

My First Birthday - July 4th 2007
I had an awesome 4th of July birthday--my first ever! Despite being rained on, I think everyone had a swell timeI had about 20 people for burgers, dogs, pasta salad and of course an ice cream cake. Dad bought a dozen colored balloons, and about 9 birthday balloons. Dad was worried about the wind and made two slip knots to secure the balloons on the deck so they would not fly away. Of course, the slip knots slipped and up and into the trees they went. Dad should have had Uncle Bill the sailor tie the knots.
Everyone that came over was fantastic. And thank you so much for the wonderful birthday gifts. We had Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Bill and Cousin Vaughan, Grandad Ingram, Doug, Scott, Lissie, Ann, Lee Ann, Pavlos, Andreas, Nickitas, Connie, Sean, Harrison, and Georgia. Momma made a wonderful 4th of July gift bag for the kids. We played with gliders, flutes, and other cool really loud noise machines that caused all the parents to cringe.
Overall, It was a fantastic time. Of course Dada had to squirrel away ice cream cake so he could have more later in the night. I guess half the cake was just enough to satisfy his ice cream craving. He must have had a guilty conscience, because the next two days he went biking and running.
I look forward to many more exciting birthdays to come.
Happy Independence Day and look forward to future updates!

Shelter Island Summer Vacation

Yo Yo it's Mac Daddy and it has been some time since I have had a chance to scratch some new verbage on this Blog. I have been highly engaged and have had little available bandwidth. You know, having to assist Paris labor through the challenging stretch behind bars and taxing effort to persuade my g/f Lindsey to stay off the drugs. My girls just can't seem to keep it together and stay out of the media.
My summer vacation has been wonderful. I just heart SI! <---not Sports Illustrated. We have been spending time cruising the island and catching rays in the backyard by the pool. I hang with my posse each morning at Stars Cafe while I chow down on my blueberry muffin, sip my iced coffee and help sling hash with the cooks in the back. Then I have to jet over to pick up the Post to check out Page Six. For lunch or dinner, I usually go hang out at Sunset Beach to get some good eats and fill my belly on the scrumptious eye candy floating around the bar and beach. The alternative is to go over to On Shore Restaurant at the Dering Harbor Inn and have delectable "assortiment de grande nourriture". "Il est magnifique!" Last weekend a pack of cool cats were able came over for some burgers, dogs and pasta salad. We had margaritas, beer and wine to wash everything down. It was a sweet time. It was awesome to see little baby Julia, Rich&Allison, Matt&Liz, Keil&Nora, and Second Cousin Greg. Mama tried to help Greg meet the ladies at Sunset Beach, but she was off her game after downing over 6 planters punches. Greg even had one on the reel, but Mama created a big wake and caused Greg to lose his catch on the line during the late evening.
On July 3rd, a bunch of us slipped over to On Shore for a sunset filled dinner. In between bites the kids played by the fountain and down by the harbor. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal and the spectacular view. Thanks everyone for tuning into my blog. Look for my July 4th birthday posting very soon.
Peace

Mother's Day
I hope all the wonderful Mama's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!
We started the day off having a fabulous brunch with Mumu & Rick and Uncle Bill & Aunt Jennifier & Couz Vaughan at "Island Cafe" which is a divine restaurant near our house. We have to give "big ups" "Big Rick" for coordinating the event. He is always on top of things like that.
I tried to sneak in a few bites of Dad's Cajan Crabcake Eggs Benedict and Mom's Angus Burger, but I was not quick enough. I at least had a few gulps of some hoegaarden heffenweissen beer. One word, "Delish". Oh, when it touches your lips you just want some more....Tank...Tank. All I have to say about the drinking beer is, "Solange Du auf dem Boden liegen kannst, ohne Dich festzuhalten, bist Du noch nicht betrunken." After we finished up brunch we headed over to the playground on 96th Street.
Vaughan and I got a chance to go on the swing and a few slides. I watch Dad and Vaughan go down the big swirling slide and hope when I am bigger I will get to swirl on the big slide. The weather was perfect for in the playground with just enough sun and a cool breeze pushing from the east.
For the rest of the day we enjoyed just having fun being a happy family. Mom was tired and not feeling great later in the day, so Dad, Lulu and I took a stroll in the park over toward the West Side. We found a nice spot in the lawn underneath some inviting trees and explored the ground underneath our feet. Of course Lulu was the best at finding things like earthworms and bugs. We then headed home just in time for Dad to give me a bath and Mom to read me a few bedtime stories that I love to hear before bed. Since a few new teeth are coming in I knew it was going to be a rough night. But, we made the best of it.
I hope you like new pictures. Look out for a few other one in the next few days as well as a video.
Love you all and wish you the best.

Easter Weekend 2007 in Newport, Rhode Island

Happy Easter Everyone!
I hope you had a great Easter Weekend. We took a pleasant trip up to Newport Rhode Island for the weekend. Cakky hitched a ride up with us on her way to visit her parents in Barnford, CT. Cakky's Mom made us some delectable pasta salad while we watched a little of the NASA Channel. I also got a chance to check out her needlepoint couch and then crawled my way around the rest of the amazing house overlooking the Long Island Sound. Dad hung out with Mr. Hogan. Mr. Hogan has quite a collection of famous baseball player autographs he collected as a kid. A few that I remember Dad telling me he saw were: Tyrus "Ty" Cobb, Joe DiMaggio, Jackie Robinson, "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, Mel Ott, Warren Spahn, Jimmie Foxx, Ted Williams, Rogers Hornsby, Honus Wagner and Satchel Paige to name a few. A few were personalized letters to him. It was a enjoyable middle point stop.
When we arrived in Newport we had dinner in town. The Cooke House served us up a nice fest. The only problem was that Dad got food poisoning from the Clam Chowder. It was a rough night for Mom. Between me crying every few hours, since I was not use to my surroundings, and Dad dealing with his food poisoning, she was pretty worn down. But, she held strong the next day by taking me to all the great shops that line Thames Street. She even picked up a few goodies for Dad and me. After Mom brought home some fresh chicken soup and fruit, Dad began to fight off the fever he had for the last 24 hours. We finished the evening by going to the park and checking out the playgrounds swing and slide. Boy it was fun playing while the ocean breeze hit our faces. It got a little cold after a while, so we headed back to Harbour Court to finish off the day.
On Easter we had a nice breakfast with Granddad John and Debs. They are alway such fun to hang out with. After the meal I started to get a little tired and we headed back home to relax to finish off the Easter Weekend.
Enjoy the next coming weeks. Hope to update you again soon.
Peace Out...Massimo McRae

Visit to Playground in Central Park
>Visit to 96th Street Playground with Dad
We also had a great lunch with MuMu and Rick at Serafina on 79th St. It was a very frantic table. I enjoyed eating my spaghetti and Cheerios at the table. MuMu let me investigate the bucket of ice chilling a bottle of rose. I got so excited from the texture and feel of the ice that I accidentally grabbed the bucket and dumped the ice water on MuMu's lap. She played it off splendidly as we continued with our gastronomic delight.
Earlier in the week, Mumu, Mama, and Megan taught me to put a ball in a box and also how to knock down a tower of blocks. Oh so much fun!
I hope everyone had a great weekend like we did. We are headed up to Newport, RI for Easter weekend. I am excited to stay a few nights at Harbor Court and cruise around town. I wish everyone a pleasant week and a Happy Holiday.
